I must have tried over 30 different brands of cannabis oil cartridges before trying a Silver Back Clear cart from Dr Zodiak. I don't buy street brand cartridges like dank vapes because they claim to have ridiculous amounts of THC without any lab test to prove it. After Trying a dank vape from a friend I instantly knew it was trash. It was really weak and the THC oil moved way too fast. We actually have a video of this on our youtube channel which ill show now.
I make it a habit to only buy from delivery services on weedmaps that have good reviews and an active license. I kept hearing about Moon Rocks clear carts and how they test over 90%. I was skeptical about Moon Rocks Clear and had to try them out for myself and our readers on cannabisthrives.com
Unfortunately, my first experience buying a Moon Rock Clear cartridge turned into a horrible one. It had to be one of the weakest THC oil cartridges I've ever tried. The taste also reminded me of PG and VG, but more like tap water.
I live in California, where it is notorious right now for many counterfeit cartridges being available and sold by delivery services with active and nonactive cannabis nonstore front licenses on weedmaps . My first experience with the Dr Zodiak brand was from TOP shelf delivery on weedmaps.com. A bay area delivery service. They currently have active nonstore front license, which means they can legally sell cannabis via a delivery service. Their license was active during the time of my purchase.
Their license is still currently active. SInce they were licensed I assumed I would get an authentic Dr Zodiak cartridge. However, Top Shelf Delivery never had the blue badge next to their Silverback Clear cart by Dr Zodiak, which meant they were not officially authorized retailer sellers of this brand.
Okay, so it looks like not every cannabis delivery service is honest even if they have a legal cannabis license to sell, they are risking the chance of losing it by selling counterfeits. The only reason I was drawn to the Moon Rock clear carts is because of their heavy advertising of 90%. This 90% can be seen on all of their latest packaging that was released this year. There was no way in hell that the Silver Back clear we purchased from Top shelf was anywhere near 90% THC or cannabinoids.
We decided to purchase the same Silverback clear cart by Dr Zodiak again, but this time from a delivery service on weedmaps that had the blue badge. This little blue badge means they are an authorized retailer of Moon Rocks clear brand verified by weedmaps.com.
The delivery service verified by weedmaps as a Moon Rocks clear cart retailer was Green On The Go. Instead of vaping it and trying to compare its strength with other carts Ive tried, I took a visit to Harrens Lab in Hayward California. They are known for being the official Lab for Hempcon. They are also state accredited. I meet with Ming Lee, the CEO and told him about my concerns and shared with his this same story I am sharing now.
I dropped off the Silverback clear cartridge, the very same one Dr Zodiak shows in his videos to Harrens Lab. A few days later I received the lab test results back, and I was really surprised that the Silver Back clear cartridge actually had 90% cannabinoids and 87%. However, the THC oil from the SilverBack Clear cart also came back positive for really high and dangerous amounts of pesticides.
The fact that the cannabinoids match up with the box claim of 90% is evidence itself that this cartridge is a genuine and authentic Moon Rock clear cart. Furthermore, this shows Dr.Zodiak really doesn’t care about selling clean cannabis oil cartridges and is only focus on the money from the sales. I can see this becoming an American Greed story. Selling poison to the cannabis community and playing both markets legal and illegal.
After releasing our lab test results, Dr Zodiak removed their Silverback clear cart and other packaging from weedmaps.com and blocked us on Instagram. The delivery service Green On The Go afterward lost the little blue checkmark they had on their Moon Rock clear carts.
It looks like Dr Zodiak dropped them as an authorized retailer on weedmaps. Most likely to distance himself from the truth, his product has pesticides. Although GReen on the Go was an authorized retailer on weedmaps when we purchased the Silverback clear cart, they were not using an active store-front license and still do not have one today and remain on weedmaps.com. They currently have authorized retailers for Flavrx right now according to weedmaps.com
Weedmaps is currently also under fire from the US government for allowing just that, unlicensed services operating on their website.
We exchanged emails and requested lab test results but never received any, therefore that's why we decided to take it upon ourselves and find out the truth from a reputable lab.
One of the pesticides found was over the legal limit 236 times and is known for being very toxic to the human liver. It can enlarge it and even cause permanent liver damage. Stay up to date with cannabis news at cannabisthrives.com.
